G39/1 Work in the vicinity of Distribution Network Operator (DNO) Equipment
  

As an approved training provider for the Highway Electrical Academy we can offer optional nationally recognised LANTRA certificates

The aim of this course is to enable Highway Electrical Sector Operatives to work safely on DNO terminations within street furniture and within the vicinity of the electrical overhead lines.

This course is suitable for all members of your staff who may be required to access street furniture, supervise or have a management role in the process. There are no pre-requisites and delegates may have little or no understanding of electricity.

Objectives:

be able to undertake a site specific risk assessment
have an understanding of relevant legislation
understand a safe system of work to minimise the danger from an electrical contact
Practically demonstrate the removal and replacement of a DNO cut-out fuse carrier
